So you wanna make your ride look JDM. Well, let’s start with some history. The Shoshinsha mark aka JDM beginner’s badge, was first introduced in 1972, is a green and yellow v-shaped symbol that new Japanese drivers must display on their cars for one year. So basically you can kinda call it a student driver badge. I personally think this is a great idea, this way you can tell who the n00bs are. In Japan the driver must display this mark on the front and back of the car for one year after they obtain a standard driver’s licence. Drivers who consider themselves beginners may continue to display the sign, even after the period of a year.
